Mixed use building right off the NDSM ferry
Building on the IJdok – by day and night from the ferry. Its a great walk or bike ride along Westerdoksdijk, and through Westelijke Eilanden and into Westerpark if you’ve got the time.
Amsterdam, like many old Europeans cities, have the fortunate juxtaposition of the new and the old. In the views above, on the smaller side street of De Ruijterkade (city side), we stayed at this airbnb and rented bikes from Starbikes Rental (both highly recommended).
I think in the gallery below, there’s a few more random views- from MVRDV container building to an unknown building next to Oosterpark Skatepark to a cantilever night time shot somewhere along the IJpromenade (between Shelter and the ferry dock)- such a wealth of that which is built every where you look.
