I generally make great game time decisions. Enough prep, good intuition- sometimes you gotta make a call in the moment on a decision. This taxi ride (instead of taking the train) to Gatwick to head to Istanbul was a fail on my part and a lesson indeed learned- never take a black taxi anywhere unless its local- because that is seriously expensive. However, this trip is filled with the benefit of being in the moment and knowing that nothing is good or bad.
In this case, the black taxi drove past Canary Wharf and that formulated an idea from a mistake. We never know where our experiences will take us, but how much we listen is the key.
This roof garden popped up after a little research once I intended to make an impromptu visit – the concept is almost a 1:1 with the Salesforce Transit Center but this version is much more restaurant services oriented on the roof top. The other difference is that this roof is partially covered- must make for a wonderful experience when it’s raining.
These real time shots above are some of my favorites- why not try and see what the camera can do- will it focus on the right thing? Will the shutter close at a moment where the composition comes out just right in this fluid moment? The above nailed it- a true drive by photo I could not have prompted any better.
