Pompeii: Archaeological Site

Pompeii is a larger version of the Roman Forum- preserved due to natural disaster to showcase Roman engineering and culture. Unlike the Vatican, which does not currently limit visitors per day- this archeological site does and allows for a better appreciation for the work done to make this a great historical learning experience.

If there is anything to take away from the immense amount of information about Pompeii- an informed tour guide is well recommended to catch all the details- please take away that Italy as a country is one blessed with the most beautiful building materials.

Imagine 1,500 years from now- how will history will remember our architecture as a reflection of how we lived. It is never how we lived on our own, but always how we related to each other.
