Zaha Hadid was why Wolfsburg was a destination but it so much more than that. I don’t think we are really listening that well to be honest. We pass through life and we hear things, but to understand and be able to connect the dots- this is a skill that few possess. My search for the spaces that I love afforded me this time the opportunity to experience a more personal story- like a new dawn.
Caught in the rain and time, I did not get a chance to go inside this building even though it was the actual destination. I choose Alvar over Zaha in the end and well, I do not regret this choice. These choices led to a new to do destination, though so obvious (see above for not listening) of Dessau, where I expect to reflect again on how little I have been paying true attention.
