The rooftop tour is very good. With such a tour, I expected the roof to be the star- but I underestimated just how much the roof really was the whole story. This is a story of how impossible ideas come to life and this is a good point for me to take away as I work to bring my own impossible ideas to life. Dreams are possible to come true.
Considered to be one consecutive rooftop, it is a canopy roof suspended from above and is made of individual pieces allowing it to adapt to the weather- and also to consider fire. The pieces were cut on site as there was no predetermined plan for how it would come together. Prototyped on site as well – this structure was more experiment than anything else.
Learning is a lifetime skill that is tied to curiosity and the wonder in the view above is the hill. It is made of debris of the city leftover from the war. I appreciate that Munich did not push away it’s history in an attempt to forget – and even if they did, that matter is an exchange into energy and that cannot be destroyed (E=mc²).
